‼️ Just a heads up! If you have medical equipment that requires electricity please plan ahead. This is a planned outage for tomorrow night from 10pm - 12pm.

Haywood EMC has scheduled a power outage affecting 3,120 member-owners in the Jonathan Creek and Maggie Valley communities of Haywood County.

The power outage is expected to last approximately 2 hours beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday night, April 22, 2026. During this time, Haywood EMC’s workers will replace faulty equipment at the Jonathan Creek substation, which was discovered during recent work. Replacing this equipment is crucial to future reliability for the communities served by this substation.
