Pulaski County Motor Corps

Pulaski County Motor Corps Captain: George Valentin
Lieutenant: Ed Moore
Treasurer: Harold Needs
Secretary: Buck Tanner Now we have the mini trikes

A group of Shriner's from Pulaski County decided to start a Motor Corp and was Chartered by Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Temple in 1969. The first members were
Johnny Tryan
Paul Shultz
Dale Breadlove
Bill Smith
Phil Hull
Bill George
JJ Williams
Wayne Anderson
Larry Lurcher
Ellis Wallace
Ed Kubisiak
Gary Hansen
Roy Dye
Jay Frarrante
Whitey Hoiseth
Larry Bench
Danny Wooden
George Greenly

The first Captain

was Johnny Tryan and there were 18 members, which all bought and rode Candy Apple Red 1970 175cc Honda Dreams. They practiced about one month before parade season started and would do double figure eight's. Sometimes the club from Rolla would join them and there would be well over 20 bikes in the figure 8'

They also had a Jannet Model-T and a Checker limo that would lead and follow them in the parade which allowed them to do their drills without worring about the people in front and behind. In 1975 they went to the 12 mini Opal vettes and 10 450 KZ's which were all painted Gold and Silver. My source, (Noble Larry Lurcher) said there were some Harley's but not very many, and they didn't ride in very many parades. They went to Caddies (Don Ripley was Captain then) and only had about 6 that were parade worthy.

Brethren, our illustrious Captain, Ed Moore, has called a special meeting to begin at 1800 hours (6pm) on May 19, 2017, at the Shrine Club. The meeting is being called because it was pointed out that our normal meeting time (fourth Friday of the month) for the month of May will occur during the Rally. Therefore we will need to discuss setting up a work roster for the Rally and upcoming parades. Any questions give me or Ed a call!!
