As we close out the school year, this WLS Fiscal Focus is simple: our greatest resource is our staff.

From Teachers and Bus Drivers to Aides, Office Staff, our Custodial and Maintenance team, Nutrition Services team, Counselors, School Psychologists, Speech/Occupational/Physical Therapists, Nurses, Support Staff, and Administrators, people are what make our schools work. District finances are about supporting the people who support our students every day.

This morning, WLS staff gathered at the Performing Arts Center for our End-of-Year Celebration and Recognition event, and it was the perfect way to close out the school year!

Dr. Ison, our administrative team, and staff celebrated six special retirees who have given so much to Wayne Local Schools: ⭐Lois Isaacs, ⭐Stacy Keeton, ⭐Chip King, ⭐Krista Muterspaw, ⭐Missy Scherer, and ⭐Christy Turner.

It was a hug-filled morning centered on Relationships and the lasting impact these staff members have made on students, colleagues, and families through the years.

Waynesville Elementary kindergarten and young fives students had so much fun at Bicentennial Park this week. They celebrated their hard work by playing on "a bigger playground" and having popsicles at the end of the day!
