New Equipment In Service at Junaluska Fire Department!

We are excited to announce that Junaluska Fire Department has received our new skid unit, which will be mounted in UTV 18. This piece of equipment will be a tremendous asset during wildfire season, allowing our crews to access remote and difficult terrain quickly while carrying water and firefighting equipment where traditional apparatus cannot reach.

Earlier this week, our staff spent time testing and training with the new unit, ensuring everything is ready to go when needed. We’re happy to report that the skid unit is now officially in service and ready to support our community.

If you’re interested in seeing it up close, feel free to stop by Station 18 and take a look! We’re always glad to show the community the equipment that helps keep Junaluska safe.

Closed the eastbound lanes with heavy damage to both lanes and shoulder. Will require milling and repaving, reports Carolinas Fire Page. See more pics from NCFD at https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18MxXRoZds/
