❤️Of course, the entire expedition to Unearth a Story at the SRP was lead by outstanding Waynoka Public Librarian, Katie Smith. Her tireless efforts created a fantastic program encouraging reading and highlighting how a small town library can inspire an immense, lifelong passion for discovery and learning.

🦖 What a DINO-MITE day! 🦕

We had the absolute best time celebrating our Summer Reading Program finale! Nineteen incredible young readers and their families crushed their reading challenges this summer.

To celebrate, we took a fun bus ride to the OKC Zoo to explore the Dinosaur Expedition! 🚍✨

Our reading champions got up close with prehistoric giants and wrapped up the day cooling off in the splash zone. It was the perfect, refreshing conclusion to "Unearthing a Story" at the Waynoka Public Library.

Thank you to all the families, readers, and supporters who made this summer so magical. Keep on reading! 📚❤️

The big day is finally here! 🦖✨
Tomorrow is the Summer Reading Program Finale at the Waynoka Public Library!

We are incredibly proud of all our young readers who stepped up to the challenge this summer. To earn their way to the ultimate reward, these dedicated kids had to read for ten or more hours AND attend at least five of our seven SRP sessions.

Because of their hard work and dedication, our qualifying readers have officially earned an exciting trip to the Dinosaur Expedition at the OKC Zoo! 🦕

Tomorrow we will celebrate their amazing achievements, wrap up a fantastic month of reading, and hand out well-deserved rewards. Thank you to all the parents, volunteers, and library staff who made this summer so special. Huge thank you to those businesses and individuals who donated to make this trip and the SRP possible.

🇺🇸✨ CELEBRATING AMERICA AT THE LIBRARY! ✨🇺🇸

Our young readers had a fantastic time today at the Waynoka Public Library Summer Reading Program! 📚❤️

Today's session was all about history and gratitude. The kids learned about the upcoming 250th birthday of the United States, discovered the history behind iconic American symbols, and explored the story of the Star-Spangled Banner. 🦅🎶

To put their patriotism into action, the children created beautiful patriotic centerpieces. Keep an eye out for them around town! The kids are delivering these handmade crafts to local Waynoka businesses to help celebrate the holiday and to say a massive THANK YOU for always supporting our library activities. We truly love our community! 🤝❤️

At today’s Summer Reading Program at the Waynoka Public Library, Waynoka City employee, Carol Smith, gave our young readers a front-row seat to how water travels from the town straight to their homes.
Here are the highlights from today's fun:

Excavator Experience: Carol dug a real trench and let the kids sit in the driver's seat of a mini excavator.

Dirt Digging: Young readers got their hands dirty digging for hidden surprises in the soil.

Sweet Treat: Everyone cooled off after the hard work with a delicious watermelon snack.

Thank you to Carol Smith and the City of Waynoka for creating such an engaging, hands-on learning experience for our community's kids!
