Shannon Bruce files candidacy as Republican endorsed State Senate candidate for Senate District 45 - Minnetrista, MN
A longtime Minnetrista resident with extensive experience in local government, Republican Party leadership, and public policy, Bruce is prepared to bring principled, results-oriented leadership to St. Paul. Bruce served as a member of the Minnetrista City Council, where she championed transparent and accountable governance. Within the Republican Party, she has held key leadership positions on the Senate District 45 Republicans board and served as Chair of the 2022 Republican Secretary of State campaign, focusing on election integrity and restoring voter confidence.
Professionally, Bruce worked for many years as a Government Affairs Specialist for a fortune 500 company, advocating for sound public policy, and served as an officer on the company’s Political Action Committee board. She brings valuable insight into navigating complex legislative and regulatory environments. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado-Denver and studied Public Administration at the university’s Graduate School of Public Affairs. She is also a successful business owner whose company was recognized on the Inc. 500 list of America’s fastest-growing companies.
“Minnesota families deserve better than the current direction in St. Paul, which has delivered rising crime, wasteful and fraudulent spending of taxpayer dollars, higher property taxes/car tab fees, and an education system that too often fails to prepare our students for success,” said Bruce. “If elected, I will fight to deliver real solutions on the issues that matter most to our communities.” Bruce’s campaign will prioritize:
• Government Transparency & Accountability: Root out government fraud, waste, and ensure every tax dollar is spent wisely and transparently to deliver results for Minnesota families.
• Safe Cities: Support local police, enforce the law and put the safety of our families and children first.
• Education: Remove political agendas from the classroom and focus on core skills to prepare our kids for success in the real world.
• Affordability: Provide relief for working families, seniors, and homeowners burdened by rising property taxes and protect communities from fiscal mismanagement.
Senate District 45, which includes communities in Minnetrista, Wayzata, Orono, Shorewood, Mound, Tonka Bay, and parts of Minnetonka, is a competitive district where voters seek practical, effective governance that addresses everyday concerns like public safety, fiscal responsibility, and quality education.
