Wayzata Education Fund

Wayzata Education Fund The Wayzata Education Fund is a volunteer-run non-profit that supports Wayzata Public Schools. https://linktr.ee/wayzataeducationfund

We are an all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2003 that fundraises to support each and every student and family in Wayzata Public Schools. We do this by funding initiatives in line with the Wayzata Public Schools Strategic Roadmap and providing grants for Wayzata Public Schools’ staff that are outside of the district budget. We have provided over $500,000 in funding to Wayzata Public Schools to date.

MEADOW RIDGE!! We are thrilled to award Meadow Ridge with funds for first grade math toolkits, thanks to Roberta Granberg. Providing each student with an individual kit allows them greater access and flexibility in selecting what best supports or extends their learning in the moment. While students already have classroom tools, by creating individual kits, they will have a new opportunity to engage with the tools authentically to explore and make their math thinking visible. Thank you Roberta and Meadow Ridge for making this happen!

New PE equipment is a must given the constant wear and tear, and the ever expanding interest in physical play and learning. Congrats 💙💛

SUNSET HILL x2!! Thank you to Abbey Stanton and Hilary Farrington for their grant applications to reach more students. The first grant is for games and tools to support our students in recognizing and managing their emotions stemming from biofeedback mental health curriculum. Think heart rate monitors to teach and show how emotions can cause physical changes in our bodies. With these games and tools, students will learn coping strategies and healthy tools for managing big feelings.

The second grant is for more engaging and accessible readers for our students at Sunset Hill! We know that student outcomes soar when they can read. They build confidence by reading texts they can access. This grant provides more of those texts to the school community.

Thank you Abbey and Hilary! We are thrilled to support
