📢 Property owners whose property sustained at least 15% damage from the April 2026 severe storms may qualify for a Temporary Disaster Damage Exemption under Texas Tax Code Section 11.35.
⚠️ Not all properties in the disaster area qualify. Eligible properties must have sustained at least 15% damage.
⏰ Applications must be received by August 10, 2026.
⚠️ Supporting documentation is required. To determine whether your property meets the 15% damage threshold, applicants should provide insurance adjuster reports, repair estimates, photographs, or similar evidence of damage. Applications without sufficient supporting documentation may be denied.
