We are excited to partner with Dean Properties to offer The Cowboy Experience: A three-day, ranch-based retreat for Veterans, hosted by Dean Properties in West Texas.

We encourage Veterans with no prior horse or ranch experience to apply.

Through horsemanship, ranch work, leadership workshops, and team-based challenges, Veterans will step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with purpose, community, and one another—all within an authentic cowboy environment built on service, resilience, responsibility, and accountability.

At the heart of the experience is The Cowboy Code: a simple framework built around showing up, doing hard things, taking care of your people, asking for help when you need it, and leaving things better than you found them.

This isn’t simply a retreat. It’s an opportunity for Veterans from across the country to work side-by-side, learn from one another, build meaningful relationships, and rediscover the strength that comes from belonging to something bigger than yourself.

Mike Sarraille is a retired Navy SEAL with two decades in Special Operations, including deployments to Ramadi and Sadr City. He’s since become a bestselling author and still teaches leadership, through the company he founded, Talent War Group. He also leads Legacy Expeditions, which has set four world records skydiving all seven continents in under seven days, honoring fallen service members along the way.

Just a couple weekends ago, we wrapped up another Couples Retreat with Patrol Base Abbate, a longtime partner we trust to help us create an experience that is both intentional and meaningful.

A Couples Retreat isn’t just about having a great weekend together. It’s about creating space for connection, growth, honest conversations, and a little fun along the way… and making sure couples leave with more than they arrived with.

Our goal is always for couples to leave with good memories, practical tools, and something they can carry back into everyday life long after the retreat ends.

Grateful for the couples who showed up, leaned in, and invested in each other, and for partners like Patrol Base Abbate who help us make these experiences what they’re meant to be.

A couple weeks ago, our community showed up in a big way for Ruck on the River.

Hosted by our incredible partners at Harmon Leatherworks Harmon Leather Works , this event brought people together for 6.2 miles along the Ohio River… not just to ruck, but to support Veterans and the mission of the Big Fish Foundation.

Every step taken and every dollar raised helps create opportunities for Veterans to build meaningful connection, pursue mental and physical growth, and continue serving their families and communities long after their time in uniform.
