Underclassmen photos will be taken in the WHS Library September 3rd from 8:30-4.

Students are expected to be in dress code for their portraits.

Student POV - Brennon Walkotten

How are you involved at school?

I am involved in WHS in many ways including Roo Crew, NHS, and my positions as the DECA president and senior class president.

What advice would you offer your younger self?

I think the biggest piece of advice for my younger self is to stick close to your faith, family, and friends. Life is full of constant changes, but the people and beliefs you care about most will be what get you through those changes without drastically changing who you are.

What does Roo Nation mean to you?

With now 13 years of being a part of Roo Nation I could say a lot about it. I think the most meaningful part of Roo Nation is how many opportunities there are to grow as a person, student, and member of the community.

Do you have a favorite memory?

I think one of my most favorite memories is when I was taken to represent WHS DECA in Orlando as a sophomore. Being able to balance having fun on a school trip while building connections, my resumé, and bonding with my peers will forever be a memory to represent my years in high school.

Who is your biggest inspiration?

Although it is a very hard pick, I would say my biggest inspiration is my Papa W***y. While not perfect, he showed me how to stay true to my faith, stay patient, and enjoy every moment possible. Living by these very principles have been what gave me the confidence and ability to be who I am to this day.‬‬

What are your plans after graduation?

I am currently still applying to colleges, but I dream of achieving a degree in business administration management and owning and/or running a business of my own.

Brennon's family includes his father, Christopher Walkotten, step-mother Crystal Walkotten, and mother Jennifer Walkotten. His brother is Aaron Walkotten, a class of 2022 graduate, my cousin Colbie Ogle, a freshman, step-sister Madison Lindsey, also a freshman, and stepbrother, Maddox Lindsey, an 8th grader at Tison.
