Dear SWOSU Community,

We are heartbroken to share that law enforcement has confirmed the death of our student, Logan Musil. Earlier today, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation announced that Logan was found deceased in Murray County and that an arrest has been made in connection with the case.

This loss is devastating. Logan was part of our Bulldog family, and our thoughts are with his loved ones, friends, classmates and everyone affected. We extend our deepest condolences to his family during this unimaginable time.

Because this is an active criminal investigation, law enforcement is handling all questions about the case. Please direct any media or public inquiries to OSBI and refrain from sharing unconfirmed information.

As we grieve together, we encourage any student, faculty member or staff who needs support to reach out. Counseling and support services are available through the, Center for Health and Wellbeing (https://bulldog.swosu.edu/student-services/health-counseling/index.php) and our Employee Assistance Program. No one should navigate this moment alone.

The strength of our campus community is rooted in compassion and care for one another. In the days ahead, we will walk together in remembrance and support. We will share additional information about campus support opportunities as they develop.

With sympathy and solidarity,

Janet Cunningham, Ed.D.
Acting President | Office of the President
