🔥 Stay Safe this Summer! 🔥

As summer heats up, let's take a moment to talk about wildfire safety in Texas. Here are a few quick tips to keep in mind:

🌞 Stay informed: Keep an eye on local news and official sources for updates on wildfire risks in your area. Follow the guidelines and evacuation notices issued by authorities.

🌞 Practice responsible outdoor activities: If you're camping or having a barbecue, ensure that fires are only started in designated areas. Extinguish them completely before leaving. Avoid tossing cigarette butts in dry areas.

🌞 Report suspicious activities: If you notice any suspicious behavior or signs of arson, report them to the authorities immediately. Early intervention can prevent devastating wildfires.

Remember, wildfires can spread rapidly, so it's crucial to prioritize safety. Let's work together to protect our beautiful state and ensure a safe summer for everyone! 🌞🌳

Behind the scenes of last Saturday training! 🧑‍🚒🚒
ESD7 was all about mastering the pump ops. Our firefighters took a closer look under the hood to study the complex plumbing and valves that control our water flow, followed by some practical large-volume water training. Continuous practice ensures we're always operating at peak efficiency.

☀️ We’ve all been there—trying to push through "just five more minutes" of yard work or outdoor fun before grabbing a drink. But heat stress is no joke!
Don't wait until you look like SpongeBob to start hydrating. By the time you feel thirsty, your body is already running behind.
🚨 Signs of heat exhaustion to watch out for:
💦 Heavy sweating
🤢 Nausea or dizziness
💪 Muscle cramps
🤕 Weakness or headache
Take frequent breaks, seek out the shade, and push the fluids !
