For more than 30 years, Nikki Smith has been one of the voices answering the call for the Weatherford Police Department and the people of Weatherford.
As our Dispatch Supervisor, Nikki has dedicated her career to serving others. She has guided, trained, encouraged, and cared for generations of dispatchers, making sure they have the knowledge and resources needed to be their very best.
But Nikki has never been someone who simply stands back and delegates. She is a doer. Whether the need is big or small, she is the first to roll up her sleeves, step in, and help.
And anyone who knows Nikki knows she is impossible to miss. Her voice is big, her personality is bigger, and her heart may be the biggest of all. She loves loudly, gives freely, and has spent more than three decades showing up for her coworkers and community.
Now, Nikki is battling cancer, and it is our turn to show up for her.
The Weatherford Police & Fire Foundation is hosting a fundraiser to help Nikki with expenses associated with her treatment and recovery. We are asking our community to join us in returning a little of the love Nikki has given to so many people over the years.
T-Shirts and hats are also available, and every donation, sponsorship, share, and word of encouragement will help remind Nikki that she is not facing this battle alone.
