For the 24th consecutive year, Weatherford ISD has earned the state’s highest financial accountability rating! 🎉💙

WISD received an A – Superior Achievement rating through the Texas Education Agency’s School FIRST system, continuing a long-standing record of strong financial management and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.

This recognition reflects the work of our Board of Trustees, finance team, district leadership and staff to maintain strong financial practices while keeping resources focused on our students and schools. 👏

Mrs. Hosch’s 5th graders are learning that punctuation really makes a statement! ✏️✨ Today, students practiced the four sentence types—declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory—by creating punctuation marks out of Play-Doh! 🟣🟢🔵 Learning language & conventions is even more fun when you can get your hands on it! 📚💡

🚌 Safety First at Seguin! 💛

Today our students learned important lessons about safely riding the school bus! Students practiced modeled safety procedures, including how to safely exit the bus through the emergency door.

We are so proud of our students for learning, practicing, and being prepared to make safe choices every day! 🚌👏

📚 Read Aloud with Mrs. Leppla: Students enjoyed a special read aloud with our principal, Mrs. Leppla, as we continue building a love of reading and strong connections across our campus.

🤝 Team Building in Action: Classrooms were busy with activities designed to help students get to know one another, build trust, communicate, and learn how to work as a team.

Seguin Teachers are creating classrooms where students feel connected, confident, and ready to take on challenges together!

Today was an exciting day at Seguin—our students and staff were officially sorted into their Color Kangaroo MOBs! 🦘💙

Throughout the year, our Color MOBs will bring students and staff together across grade levels to build camaraderie, sportsmanship, school spirit, and a strong sense of belonging. MOBs will work together to earn points, participate in campus-wide activities, and celebrate their successes!
