⚠️ TRAFFIC ADVISORY – WEAVER POLICE DEPARTMENT ⚠️

We are currently experiencing widespread storm damage throughout the area, including numerous trees and power lines down across roadways.

The Weaver Police Department, Weaver Fire Department, and Alabama Power crews are actively working to clear roads and restore safe conditions as quickly as possible.

For your safety, please stay off the roadways unless travel is absolutely necessary. Conditions remain hazardous, and additional trees or debris could fall without warning.

If you encounter a blocked roadway, DO NOT attempt to drive around barricades, cones, emergency vehicles, or downed trees. Turn around and find an alternate route. What may appear passable could conceal downed power lines, unstable trees, or other dangerous conditions.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as crews work throughout the community. Please continue to monitor local updates and use caution if you must travel.

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting their communities. On Peace Officers Memorial Day, we remember the courage, dedication, and selflessness of law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.

The Weaver Police Department proudly stands in remembrance of those heroes and keeps their families, friends, and fellow officers in our thoughts today. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
We also want to thank the officers who continue to serve our community each day with strength, compassion, and commitment.

Please join us in honoring our fallen officers today. 💙🖤

Please join us in congratulating Sgt. Nick Quinn on graduating the 14th session of the Alabama Investigators Academy. The AIA is a 96 hour intensive training course focused on crime scene procedures, death investigation, interview techniques and other skills necessary to become a law enforcement investigator in the state of Alabama. Alabama is one of only two states to have an accredited investigator academy.

Sgt. Quinn is recognized as a tier I investigator now and joins our other AIA graduate, Lt. Hunter, who is a tier II investigator and is also developing curriculum to assist in teaching at the AIA.
Congratulations Sgt. Quinn and thank you for your dedication to the citizens of Weaver!
