What a wonderful way to wrap up another school year at North Windy Ridge! We celebrated the hard work and dedication of our incredible staff by reflecting on this year’s growth, enjoying a delicious lunch provided by PTO, and having plenty of fun together.

A favorite tradition returned with our annual dessert competition—congratulations to this year’s winner, Tara Teague, for taking home the sweet victory! 🍰🏆

We also celebrated and honored several staff members as they begin new adventures. A special congratulations goes to Angie Braswell on her retirement after 23 years of teaching at NWR!! Her commitment to students, families, and colleagues has left a lasting legacy that will continue to shape our school community for years to come. To all of our staff members moving on to new opportunities, thank you for the love, passion, and dedication! You will always be part of the Ridge family, and we wish you nothing but happiness and success in the journeys ahead!

The end of the school year was filled with celebrations honoring all the hard work these NWR Black Hawks put in this year! From awards ceremonies and sing-a-longs to ice cream parties, yearbook signing, social studies trivia, and end-of-year dirty soda and pizza parties provided by our amazing PTO, it was an incredible week of making memories together. We are going to miss these students over the summer and can’t wait to welcome our rising 6th graders back in the fall! 🖤❤️🦅

Ever wonder what the last moments of the school year look like? Well, at NWR, it’s lots of bubbles and hugs and blue skies all around. NBMS kids couldn’t resist hopping off the bus to hug former teachers as we waved them off into their summer break. What a great day and a great year at THE RIDGE!

5th & 6th Grade PBIS End-of-Year Celebration at the North Buncombe Pool! ☀️🏊

What a fantastic way to celebrate a year of positive choices, hard work, and outstanding behavior! Our 5th and 6th grade students enjoyed fun-filled days at the North Buncombe Pool as part of their PBIS end-of-year reward.

A big thank you to Ms. Jamerson for all of the planning and organization that made this special day possible. ♥️🎉

Field Day 2026 was a blast! ☀️🎉

Our students enjoyed a day full of fun, teamwork, and school spirit. A special shout-out to Ms. Anderson for organizing such an amazing event and helping create lasting memories for our students. Thank you for all your hard work!
