Meet your Instructors:
Spencer St.Cyr is a native of Roanoke, Virginia. He has over 9 years Virginia Law Enforcement experience. In 2014, Spencer St.Cyr became a certified Virginia Law Enforcement Officer. Spencer was voted by his peers of the Salem Police Department as Officer of the Year in 2016 for administering life saving aid to two citizens that were attacked with a knife, while he was off duty.
Spencer holds multiple Virginia Law Enforcement certifications to include General Instructor, Field Training Officer, Crisis Negotiator, Crisis Intervention, Interview and Interrogation, and Community Engaged Policing. Spencer specialized in training new officers and received several department accommodations. As a Field Training Officer, Spencer would provide instruction to new Police Academy graduates over a course of 16 weeks. Teaching patrol techniques, vehicle stops, DUI procedures, officer safety, courtroom and magistrate testimony, the use of CAD systems( computer aided dispatch), crime scene investigation, and other standard Law Enforcement Patrol procedures. Spencer has trained over 10 new academy graduates, overseeing their progress until release to solo Police patrol. In addition, Spencer has taught at regional police academies as an instructor.
In addition Spencer served as an Army Combat Medic(68W) in the Virginia National Guard after joining in 2018, where he specialized in Combat Medicine and received his NREMT certification. Spencer taught Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) at the company level. Spencer also completed several Virginia State Side civil unrest missions during 2020 and 2021. While serving in the 1/116th Infantry Regiment. Spencer assisted as a Unit Master Marsksmanship Trainer (MMT) with the Beretta M9 during yearly qualifications.
Spencer has also worked for multiple local retail gun shops in the Roanoke area, specializing in gun sales, ammo and parts sales, and assisting newcomers to the shooting community, as well as traveling throughout Virginia helping gun show vendors with fi****ms sales. Spencer also holds his NRA Pistol Marksmanship training certification and teaches marksmanship part time.
In his free time Spencer loves to watch sports, as an avid Boston Celtics fan, Formula 1 fan, and football fan you can almost always catch him in front of a sporting event. He enjoys spending time with friends and family in his down time.
