Under the partnership, the Ames Regional Economic Alliance will provide management and operational oversight for the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce beginning September 1, 2026.

🎟️Tickets are on sale now for Whiskers and Wine Comedy Night on Saturday, September 26, at the Briggs Woods Conference Center in Webster City. Tickets are $50 per ticket and $350 for a table of 8. All proceeds benefit Hamilton County Animal AdvoCATes and The Cat Hut. With over 80 cats and kittens currently in our care, your help is needed now more than ever!

🎹 This purr-fect night of comedy and compassion includes a Pasta Buffet, House Salad, Breadstick, Assorted Pie and Cheesecake Selections, and Dueling Pianos of Andy Anderson and Mike Leeds. Andy and Mike were born and raised in Iowa. Andy grew up in Des Moines and Mike is a graduate of Webster City High School and grew up in Stratford and has family that still lives there.

🎶 Since 2008, the entertaining duo of Andy Anderson & Mike Leeds have been traveling the Midwest performing their high-energy, engaging dueling piano routine for audiences of all ages. Having performed together for nearly a decade in other musical projects prior to forming their popular dueling pianos act, they have a distinctive, almost brotherly on-stage chemistry that accommodates hilarious spontaneity, crowd-pleasing antics, and a musical camaraderie that delivers a one-of-a-kind, unique show. Covering song requests from the 1950s through the favorite songs of today, they specialize in top 40 hits that everyone knows and loves which makes for an exciting, keep you on your feet, singing and dancing show.

🍷 Our biggest fundraiser of the year, Whiskers and Wine will feature an in-person silent auction. Attendees will peruse auction items and write down their bids. Auction items will be available for pick up at The Cat Hut the week of October 22nd.

📢 The Hamilton County Conservation Board invites the community to celebrate a century of memories, recreation, and conservation at Bells Bash, commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Bells Mill Park on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Bells Mill Park, located at 3100 Bells Mill Road, Stratford, Iowa 🎊

Since its establishment in 1926, Bells Mill Park has served as a cherished destination for generations of families, outdoor enthusiasts, and history lovers throughout Hamilton County. This milestone celebration honors the park's rich heritage while looking ahead to its future as a treasured community gathering place.

“Bells Bash” promises a full day of family-friendly activities celebrating the park's history and the community that has supported it for the past century. Visitors are invited to enjoy a co****le tournament beginning at 10:00 a.m. The afternoon festivities will continue with a welcome and commemorative remarks at 1:30 p.m. from Brian Lammers, Executive Director of the Hamilton County Conservation Board, along with members of the Hamilton County Conservation Board, followed by guided historic park tours from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Guests can also enjoy live music throughout the afternoon featuring Rural Route and The Country Cousins. Raffle drawings will begin at 4:00 p.m., with additional drawings held between musical performances.

Guests will also have the opportunity to learn about the fascinating history of Bells Mill Park during guided tours that explore the park's historic mill wheel, the log cabin and the one room school house along with the generations of visitors who have enjoyed its natural beauty over the last 100 years.

In addition to celebrating the park's past, the event will help invest in its future. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales and donations collected during the celebration will support the purchase of new playground equipment, ensuring that future generations can continue making memories at Bells Mill Park for years to come.

“Bells Mill Park has been part of our community’s story for 100 years,” said Brian Lammers, who serves as Executive Director. “This celebration is an opportunity to honor its history, thank everyone who has helped preserve it, and invest in the next century of recreation, education, and conservation.”

The Hamilton County Conservation Board encourages residents, former visitors, and anyone with fond memories of Bells Mill Park to attend this once-in-a-century celebration. Whether sharing stories from decades past, enjoying live entertainment, or learning about the park's history, attendees will help celebrate one of Hamilton County's most treasured parks.

🐈 The fifth annual Coins for Cats Fundraiser, now renamed Cash for Cats, benefiting Hamilton County Animal AdvoCATes and The Cat Hut is going on now through August 14th. Collect spare cash and save lives! 🤸🏻‍♀️

Stop by the Cat Hut at 1118 2nd Street in Webster City to pick up a cool blue coin collection cup. Fill your cup with loose change and cash and bring it to WCF Financial Bank on Friday, August 14th between 2:00-3:00 PM to run through the coin counter and have your cash counted. You can also drop it off at The Cat Hut prior to August 14 and we’ll run your coins through the counter and count your cash for you! Donation boxes can also be found at many local retailers. Donations to these boxes are not included in the raffle contest. With more than 70 cats and kittens in our care, your generosity is greatly needed and appreciated.

This year, they are holding a raffle for participants that help fundraise with their cups. For every $5 raised, participants will receive 1 raffle ticket. One raffle prize will be awarded and includes 4 $50 gift certificates to the following businesses:

The winner will be drawn during the Wrap-Up party at Webster City Financial Bank, 401 Fair Meadow Drive, Webster City, at 3:00 PM, after we have counted all funds raised.
