104 MPH.

Deputy Dan Watkins located another century club member this morning at roughly 4:30 am. It occurred on Highway 20 East bound at mile marker 148, near Blairsburg.

The posted speed limit is there for a reason. Speeding doesn’t just put the driver at risk. It puts every other person on that highway at risk too.

A vehicle traveling 104 MPH has very little room for error. One unexpected move, one deer, one tire failure, one blink that lasts a little too long or one vehicle entering the lane can change everything in a split second.

RIGHT after this traffic stop, Deputy Watkins had another in the same location, but only for 95 mph that time! Both of these violations will result in a loss of driving privileges.

Please drive smart. Be alert. Be aware of surroundings. Please.

These are happening far too often and it is another first responder in Hamilton County who is incredibly selfless. Holden shows up for those in need and now he needs us to show up.

Donate, somehow.

We have a family in our community that needs our help! The Holden family is struggling with medical bills after a cancer diagnosis. This news came with the news of the couple adding twins to their family. While that news help soften the blow of Andrew's diagnosis, it adds to the household expenses while paying for cancer treatments.

We have partnered with the Ellsworth Fire & EMS to put on a drive through meal benefit. Come to the Ellsworth Fire Station on Friday, August 21st from 5:30-8 for a free-will donation supper. Line up down the main Street in town (DeWitt St) going north and pick up your meal(s) outside the firestation side door. There will be an area for people to sit down and eat in if they would like.

Let's come together to help out a fellow community member!
