🎂📞 Happy Birthday to 9-1-1!

On this day in 1968, the very first 9-1-1 call was placed by Alabama Senator Rankin Fite from the mayor’s office in Haleyville. Today, the iconic “red phone” used to make that historic call is preserved at Haleyville Town Hall.

Thank you to 9-1-1 and the dedicated dispatchers who answer the call every day calm voices in chaos, lifelines in emergencies, and heroes behind the scenes. 💛🚓🚑🚒

Serving and protecting… your heart 💙🚔

Our deputies traded citations for clever pick-up lines this Valentine’s Day — and yes, these cards are fully pun-approved by the Pun Patrol. Whether you’re under arrest for stealing hearts or just here for the laughs, consider this your official notice: you’re loved, appreciated, and totally not getting out of these dad-level jokes.

Don’t get any ideas from these Valentine’s cards, they’re all happily taken! 💍
