The Ames Regional Economic Alliance and the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce are announcing a new partnership that will bring the resources, expertise and regional reach of the Alliance to the Chamber while building on the strong foundation already established by the Webster City business community.

Under the partnership, the Ames Regional Economic Alliance will provide management and operational oversight for the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce beginning September 1, 2026.

Last week, the Iowa Economic Development Authority approved an investment with Webster City Custom Meats, Inc. for their $2.5 million automated bacon packaging line to enhance production capabilities and competitiveness. Congratulations! Read the announcement online.

Tax incentives for four manufacturers will support the creation of 312 jobs and result in $62.9 million in new capital investment for the state.

Exciting news for Hamilton County! We’ve been selected to join Keep Iowa Beautiful's Hometown Pride program, starting this fall!

Nine communities in Hamilton County - Blairsburg, Ellsworth, Jewell, Kamrar, Randall, Stanhope, Stratford, Webster City, and Williams - will work with a Hometown Pride coach to launch a volunteer-driven program that strengthens local pride, develops new leaders, and completes community improvement projects.

Through Hometown Pride, local volunteers in more than 100 Iowa communities have led projects such as park and trail upgrades, public art, beautification, new gathering spaces, and community events.

We’re excited to see what our community will accomplish together! Stay tuned for more updates this fall.
