Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in the fishing contest at Big Sand Lake.

We appreciate everyone who helped make the event a success, including Laura from St. Croix Tribal Education/Trails Program, Vanessa from the Sand Lake Community Coordinators who helped with food, setup and the raffle prizes and everyone from the police department.

It was great seeing so many youth come out to fish and enjoy the weather. Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to everyone who showed up and supported the event.

This Memorial Day, we honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Following further investigation and review for potential charging, the St. Croix Tribal Police Department is releasing the following information.

Today the St. Croix Tribal Police Department conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the seizure of multiple bags of what we believe is counterfeit frybread.

Field-testing showed a suspicious texture and disapproval from several Grandmother’s. At this time we believe it may just be regular bread.
