📋 Petitioning season is underway in Webster!

WDC members and volunteers are out gathering signatures from neighbors across town to help ensure Democratic candidates appear on the ballot this year.

Three of the candidates out circulating petitions are:
🔹 Alex Scialdone for Webster Town Supervisor
🔹 Joe Lamanna for NYS Assembly (130th District)
🔹 Brian Green for Monroe County District Attorney

✍️ Signing a petition does not commit your vote. It simply helps ensure candidates can appear on the ballot so voters have a choice.

If you see someone with a clipboard over the next few weeks, consider adding your signature and helping power local democracy.

💜 Happy International Women’s Day!

At last week’s Webster Town Board meeting, Town Supervisor Alex Scialdone and Deputy Supervisor Nick Hunter presented a proclamation recognizing Women’s History Month.

They invited members of the Women's Club of Webster to accept the proclamation on behalf of the organization, including WCW President Diana Holzwasser and First Vice President Missy Rosenberry.

For generations, the Women’s Club of Webster has supported community service, civic engagement, and local initiatives that strengthen our town. We’re grateful for the leadership and contributions of the women who help make Webster a stronger community.

Today, we celebrate the women who lead, serve, organize, and advocate every day in Webster and across our country.

For the next month, Democratic candidates are gathering signatures to secure their place on this year’s ballot. Committee members are also circulating petitions to serve on the Webster Democratic Committee for the upcoming term.

If you’re a registered Democrat and are asked to sign, your signature helps ensure our candidates appear on the ballot this fall.

We’re looking for volunteers to help collect signatures across Webster. Whether you can cover a neighborhood, attend an event, or host a signing opportunity, message us to get involved. Every signature counts.

Party Enrollment Deadline: February 14th

To vote in New York’s Democratic primary, your voter registration or change of party enrollment must be received by this date.

If you’re currently unaffiliated, registered with another party, or enrolling for the first time, now is the time to take action.

This is about having a voice in the decisions that shape our communities.

At Tuesday’s designation meeting, the Webster Democratic Committee voted to designate the following candidates:

Congressman Joe Morelle – U.S. Congress, 25th District
Monroe County District Attorney Brian Green – Monroe County District
NY State Senator Samra Brouk – NY State Senate, 55th District
Joe Lamanna – NY State Assembly, 130th District
Webster Town Supervisor Alex Scialdone for Webster Town Supervisor

Yesterday, the Town of Webster, NY marked an important moment as our newly elected leaders were sworn into office.

The Webster Democratic Committee congratulates Alex Scialdone, Town Supervisor, along with Nick Hunter and Garrett Wagner, on their swearing-in to the Town Board. We look forward to their leadership and commitment to serving the Webster community.

We are especially proud of the many WDC members and volunteers who were present and who played an integral role in this campaign. From door-knocking and voter outreach to showing up yesterday in full force, your dedication helped make this moment possible.

This is what grassroots organizing looks like. Thank you to everyone who put in the work, and congratulations to our new town leaders as they begin this next chapter of service.
