The W**d Police Department would like to introduce you to the newest member of our team, Public Safety Dispatcher Jennie Stone. Jennie was sworn in on Monday, 08/17/2026 and will begin her training in this critical role.

Dispatcher Stone previously worked for the Siskiyou County Probation Department. Dispatcher Stone stated she "is grateful for the opportunity " and she is "excited to broaden her law enforcement experience into dispatch."

July 2026

During the month of July 2026, the W**d Police Department had 1750 total incidents (calls for service and officer initiated) out of those incidents, 37 cases were pulled, and 14 arrests were made.

The W**d Police Department responded to 11 traffic collision incidents this past month. Traffic collision incidents included those occurring on private property, roadway collisions, as well as hit and run.

Water Service Notice

Public Works is currently repairing a water issue on Sullivan Ave.

Residents in the areas of College Ave. and the 900 block of South W**d Blvd. may experience low water pressure while repairs are underway.

Crews are actively working to restore normal water service as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

During the month of June 2026, the W**d Police Department had 1791 total incidents (calls for service and officer initiated) out of those incidents, 28 cases were pulled, and 7 arrests were made.

The W**d Police Department responded to 10 traffic collision incidents this past month. Traffic collision incidents included those occurring on private property, roadway collisions, as well as hit and run.

W**d Carnevale is July 9th through the 12th. We are looking forward to seeing everyone out there.
