During the month of May 2026, the W**d Police Department had 1597 total incidents (calls for service and officer initiated) out of those incidents, 36 cases were pulled, and 10 arrests were made.

The W**d Police Department responded to 15 traffic collision incidents this past month. Traffic collision incidents included those occurring on private property, roadway collisions, as well as hit and run

W**d is a full-service city of approximately 2,700 residents. Originally established as a lumber town, the City has evolved over time while maintaining a strong sense of community and local identity since incorporating in 1961.

The City provides many services directly, including police, fire, infrastructure maintenance, and water and wastewater management. These are just a few of the things that the City delivers to residents every day.

W**d City Fire received these new XD nozzles and have put them into service! We are excited to replace our outdated combination nozzles with these and look forward to using them to better serve our community for many years to come! These nozzles were purchased with grant funding through the Volunteer Firefighter Capacity Grant.
