Just wanted to let everyone know that I was unable to find a facility to do group lessons this summer. I have found a couple of pools (two places in WW and one in Louisville) where people will allow me to do some private lessons for people that are interested probably just be able to do level one through three as they aren’t real deep or big pools. I know a couple people have already started offering private lessons here on Facebook and some of you might have already signed up but if there are others interested you are welcome to DM me and we can chat about some options.

ATTENTION WW COMMUNITY AND POOL PATRONS:
We wanted to provide our community with an update regarding the City Pool.

As many of you know, the pool was closed last week due to ongoing water loss and concerns about a potential leak. Possible causes include damaged underground pipes, cracks in the concrete, or other structural issues.

The City Council met this evening and, after discussion with our City Maintenance Supervisor, has decided to move forward with hiring a specialized company to inspect the pool's plumbing system using camera equipment. This process will help determine whether the leak is originating from the underground pipes or from cracks within the pool structure itself.

Once the source of the leak has been identified, the City Council and city staff will evaluate the findings and determine the most appropriate course of action for the City. Unfortunately, the inspection process will take some time to schedule and complete.

At this point, it is not looking promising that the pool will reopen this season. While we remain hopeful for positive results from the inspection, the likelihood of getting the pool repaired and operational this summer appears very limited.

Regarding swimming lessons, we are exploring the possibility of partnering with a nearby community pool and renting their facility to continue offering lessons. We expect to make a decision on swimming lessons early next week and will share an update as soon as possible.

We understand how disappointing this news is, especially for our families and children who look forward to the pool each summer. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as we work through this process.

Weeping Water City Pool Update
The Pool will be closed until further notice. We are hoping to get some answers this week as to the leak we are experiencing.

We want to take a moment to provide an update on some of the challenges we are currently facing at the Weeping Water City Pool.

As many of you know, our pool is an older facility, and with age comes occasional maintenance issues. We are currently dealing with a significant water leak within the pool system. While a permanent repair is needed, the scope of the work would require a substantial financial investment that was not budgeted for this season, as well as an extended pool closure of at least two weeks during the height of summer. For those reasons, a complete repair will likely need to be addressed after the pool season ends. In the meantime, we are actively working with temporary solutions and making adjustments to keep the pool operating as safely and effectively as possible for our community.

Because of the amount of water being lost each day, we must continually add fresh water to maintain safe operating levels and protect our equipment. Unfortunately, adding large amounts of fresh water daily makes it difficult to maintain proper chemical balance. When chemical levels fluctuate, water clarity can be affected, which is what leading to this closure. For the safety of our swimmers, we must be able to clearly see the bottom of the pool at all times.

We understand how disappointing the delayed opening and unexpected closures have been, especially for families and children who look forward to spending their summer at the pool. Please know that we share that frustration and are working diligently each day to manage these challenges and minimize disruptions whenever possible.

Our staff is committed to doing everything we can to keep the pool open and operating safely. We greatly appreciate the patience, understanding, and support from our community as we work through these challenges. We will continue to provide updates and communicate any changes as they occur.

Thank you for your continued support of the Weeping Water City Pool. We are grateful for this community and look forward to providing a safe and enjoyable summer for everyone.
