We were very honored to be a part of Chief Walla’s farewell journey. He spent half of his life serving his community and shaping young men and women into dedicated firefighters. He was definitely a one of a kind leader in the fire service! RIP Chief!

Our new Tanker arrived yesterday, and we completed final inspections and transferred equipment last night. We look forward to training tonight and formally putting it into service! Thank you Weimar Methodist Foundation and City of Weimar for making this possible!

The WVFD was toned out at 9:33am this morning for an overturned vehicle on its side in a creek with the driver being trapped inside around the 1900 block of CR 215. Upon arrival firefighters found the driver secured by their seatbelt and began stabilization of the vehicle, removed the windshield and sunroof of the vehicle to free the driver. The driver escaped uninjured. Assisting on scene was CCEMS, CCSO, Texas DPS, and Bobs Towing.
