When God takes your house,everything you've acquired in 20 years of waterfowling, your prize dog, 3 seasons of poor hunting, you start to get the message. Family time, serving my local church, growing and producing spiritual fruit is a higher priority than birds. I have many friends that I shared pursuing waterfowl like they're a plague, but its not as important as many make it!
Due to people not following their commitments to be members the last 2 years and leaving me with $10k plus in lease money to pay both years, I didnt lease anything. I'm making upgrades to the house and lease arrangements made for 20-21 season already. Thanks for everyone that follows us. Do a self evaluation on the time and money thats wasted on the little g God in your life. Its fine to hunt and train dogs etc.. but are you glorifying God while doing it or using it as a platform to spread the gospel?
I'm taking a time out from waterfowling till its a better season in my life, and hopefully I can use a house 10 hrs away for mens gatherings and for his glory during duck season. Stay safe!

As of right now there are no plans to lease fields, or have a club. Multiple years of me footing the bill for broken promises, lack of payment, late payments has run its course. I've taken the money I lost just last year and bought health insurance for my family and myself.

When the house burnt, my wife said maybe God is trying to tell you something. You spend allot of time, money and energy on Arkansas. Who listens to their wife? 6 months later my priorities changed and I've tried doing more and more for his kingdom. Israel was an amazing trip, mens ministry is active, mission trips planned, allot of opportunities to take my money and invest it in furthering Gods kingdom instead of gambling on a migration that's 1/4 of what it should be.

As my "friends" change with walking closer to the Lord maybe one day I'll have a club again centered around a Godly influence to others.
