City of Weldon Spring, Missouri The City of Weldon Spring is an extended suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, located in the southeast part of St. Charles County. In 1849, John McMillan, Jr. Charles.

Incorporated in 1984, the city blends suburban charm with access to scenic parks, great schools, and a strong sense of community. is credited with laying out the town, and calling it Weldon Spring in honor of John Weldon's orginal find. The original plat shows 14 lots, some irregular in shape, on both sides of Marthasville Road (now known as Highway 94). In the early 1800s a cog mill was built, po

wered by water from the spring. A blacksmith shop, gun shop and gristmill were soon added. Fredrick Bunding built a general store and later added a shoemaker’s shop. He served as the village postmaster for 50 years. Missouri became a state in 1821 and the first state capitol was located in St. In 1824, a German named Gottfied Duden settled for almost a year in St. His favorable impressions were recorded in a book published in Germany. The result was an influx of industrious German settlers to the area. These settlers and their descendents have had a profound impact on the area. In 1840 approximately 10 percent of the heads of households in St. Charles County were German. This figure increased to 44 percent in 1850 and increased to 75 percent in 1870.

City Hall Update

At the May 28, 2026 Board of Aldermen meeting, the Board approved an agreement with Navigate Building Solutions to provide Owner's Representative services for the Procurement and Pre-Construction phases of the proposed City Hall project. Construction and Post-Construction Services would require separate Board approval at a future date.

As the Owner's Representative, Navigate will assist the City with project planning, design and engineering coordination, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and project management during the initial phases of the project while representing the City's interests throughout the process.
