Town of Weldon Located in Halifax County in northeastern North Carolina on the beautiful Roanoke River. In accordance with Federal law and U.S.

Weldon is a small historical town located on the mighty Roanoke River and is known as the "Rockfish Capital of the World." Every spring between mid-March and June, anglers come to Weldon to try their hand at catching Striped Bass, locally known as Rockfish, during the annual spawning season. The Canal Trail Commission has 1 open seat for the Town of Weldon.
This is a volunteer position. The Canal Trail is shared between Weldon and Roanoke Rapids. They meet once every 3 months. If you are a lover of outside or have the ability to coordinate events or you just love serving Weldon, this could be an opportunity for you. You must have a physical Weldon address.
