Weldon Fire and Rescue

Tonight we had a visit from Patricia Huisinga and her family. They presented a donation to the department in memory of John Huisinga. We had the privilege of being there for this family in times of need and they wanted to let us know how much it meant to them.

We really appreciate this as it lets our members see firsthand what being on the department means to our community. We are glad we were able to be there for them when they needed us.

Please know that John and your family remain in our thoughts during this time. Thank you again for your kindness and support to our department.

Sharing from the Weldon United Methodist Church for our Weldon area residents.

“The Weldon United Methodist Church, Weldon IL will be open today and tonight as a take cover shelter for those in need during the in coming storms. The North door on the backside of the church that goes directly to basement is open. We are working with the Weldon Fire and Rescue to have volunteers available. We hope that everyone stays safe today.

We are working with EMA to respond to those with structural damage.
