Warmest congratulations to the following 17 educators and staff members who were honored Wednesday by the Wellesley Education Foundation for 25 years of service to the Wellesley Public Schools! Congratulations to Wellesley High School Choral Director Dr. Kevin McDonald, who was surprised this afternoon with the CMA Foundation Music Teachers of Excellence Award! Dmac is one of 30 music educators nationwide who will receive this award over the next few days, just in time for Teacher Appreciation Week. Lauren Saracino, WPS Director of Performing Arts, presented the award during Dr. McDonald's class with the Rice Street Singers. Dmac's wife Michaela (in person), and son Connor (on the phone) were among those celebrating him this afternoon. Dr. McDonald was also named a finalist for the GRAMMY Music Educators Award in December, so he has had an outstanding year!

According to Mark, a video of him cheering the Pats at home was forwarded around and made its way to someone at . Apparently - go figure! - they liked his accent. He was bummed it never aired, but they sent him a copy for posterity.
