HAPPY RETIREMNT. It's a bittersweet that today we say goodbye to our colleague and a friend Jack Trabbuco who retired after 30+ years of service with the Wellesley College Police Department. His sense of humor and big heart will definitely be missed inside and outside of the department, by those he has mentored and protected. Jack also served as the President of the union for many years and we thank him for his hard work and the voice that he has given to our association. Good luck in all of your future endeavors. You will be missed by many.

Stay safe.

In a time of uncertainty, the Wellesley College Police Union would like to recognize all first responders who are committed to doing the tough duties and the challenges that face us all.

While many agencies have posted strick guidelines for policing/service, It is important that we keep our police, fire, and EMS healthy. Thus, we will stand ready to serve and protect our communities. Because we care!

Let’s stay healthy, informed, and be safe.

Good Job WCPD Union! Together you stand as one!

The Wellesley College Police Union Association mourns the loss of our former colleague who worked and served with us for 17 years, Mr. Giovanni "Gio" Cappucci. Mr. Cappucci of Walpole formerly of Roslindale passed away on November 7, 2019. Gio was the beloved husband of Marjorie M. (Vert) Cappucci. Devoted father of Daniella Cappucci of Walpole and Isabella Cappucci of Roslindale. Loving grandfather of Gianni and Angelo. Son of Giovanni and Maria P. (DelleMonache) Cappucci of Roslindale. Brother of the late Antonio Cappucci. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.

Giovannino was a graduate Catholic Memorial and Northeastern University. He had a 30-year career in law enforcement mostly at the WCPD. He treasured the relationships with his family and friends and was loved by all those came in contact with him.

Funeral arrangements will be at George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. DEDHAM, Tuesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 10am.
