Here are some tips from other communities for spotted lanternfly management. The NRC does not endorse the use of pesticides but there are many other environmentally friendly options. Check out the video.

Spotted lanternfly (SLF) egg-laying begins mid-September and continues until late fall (around mid-November), with eggs present until March!
You can destroy egg masses before they hatch to reduce the number of SLF the following year.
One cost-effective, non-chemical trap is the lampshade trap! This trap uses asphalt shingles in the shape of a lampshade, making it an attractive spot for egg-laying, while the height and materials make masses easy to remove and destroy.

Team Room Update! The Town of Wellesley, MA is excited to announce the delivery of the new Team Rooms at the Hunnewell Track and Field. Beginning Wednesday evening, the Smith Street parking lot and Brook path trail section behind the Track and Field will be marked and closed to the public. Trail users are encouraged to walk down the access road from the basketball courts to Smith street to continue west on the Brook path.
