Wellesley Natural Resources Commission Protecting Wellesley's valuable natural resources through policy development, outreach and education

Through policy, outreach and educational programs, the Commission seeks to improve the standard of care in and adjacent to the town owned properties. The NRC encourages you to hike your town trails, play and exercise your dogs at the athletic fields, reap the harvest from the community gardens, marvel at the Town’s rivers, wetlands and ponds, and participate in NRC sponsored lectures and campaigns

City nature challenge is today through Monday midnight. Go out and join the global biodiversity challenge and document the wildlife in Wellesley. Upload your photos to I-naturalist free app. Above are fairy shrimp, they only live and breed in vernal pools! See the eggs in her abdomen? She is only about a centimeter long. Nature big and small is miraculous.
