Wellesley Firefighters Local 1795 The official page of Wellesley firefighters Union, Local 1795. Station 2, which is headquarters, is at 457 Worcester St (Rte 9 at Rte 16).

Wellesley Fire Department consists of a total of 57 personnel, broken down as follows: Chief of Department, Assistant Chief, Deputy and Lieutenant in the Fire Prevention Office , 4 Shift Deputy Chiefs, 12 Shift Lieutenants and 35 Firefighters.
1 civilian Administrative Assistant and 1 Fire Apparatus Certified Mechanic. The department operates out of 2 stations. :

Engine 1 and spare Engine 4. Fire Administration: Chief , Assistant Chief , Administrative Assistant, Apparatus Fleet Mechanic. Fire Inspectors Office. Car 3 (shift captain), Engine 2, Quint 3, Tower Ladder 2, and spare Engine 5 along with Car 4 (fire h Medic 1. The ALS paramedic service provided to the town is operated by Cataldo Ambulance from Fire HQ Station under the direction of the Fire Department. The department answers roughly 4,000 calls per year. They vary between medical emergencies, Carbon Monoxide alarms, smoke alarm activations, structure fires, mutual aid calls, etc.

This morning B Group received a call for a pick up truck rolled over Rte 9 East over Cliff RD with entrapment. Companies arrived and found the driver ok, no injuries and was able to be removed through the windshield. Very quick work by B Group.

This morning the members of B-Group, along with Coastal EMS and WPD, responded to the area of Rte 9 East near Woodbine for the roll over accident with 1 person trapped. The occupant was removed with the Jaws and transported with non life threatening injuries. Great work by all to quickly, efficiently, and safely mitigate the incident.

This afternoon WFD was alerted to a canoe that was out in the middle of the little pond at Morses Pond. We responded with a full water rescue response only to find out the canoe has been there for some time. There were no signs of anyone missing and the canoe was towed to shore and secured.
