In 4th and 5th grade, our students become authors!
The students pick the topic, pick the title, brainstorm their ideas, write a rough draft, edit and revise with minimal help, write the final draft, illustrate a page for their story, and then we ship it off to be published by Student Treasures!
4th grade wrote a How-To book this year in pairs, and 5th grade worked in pairs to write an Animal Informative book.
They were so proud of their work, and when our copies came in we invited Mrs. Hagans to a book reading, and each set of partners got to come read their page aloud.
