Lincoln Interest Day was today, and our students had a blast (as well as our staff!)
From 1-3 our students got to go to 5, 20 minute sessions (that they chose) and learn all about fun careers and hobbies with hands-on experiences from different people placed around the inside and outside of our school.
Our students got to learn about/experience:
- dance & cheer from Cowley CC
- hair from Jessica Newman
- manicures from LeeAnna Creed
- Vet tech from Angela Hagans
- Quilting from Lauren Hart and Kelli McComb
- singing from our own Ms. Deschaine
- the Humane Society from Jodie Hearlson
- Wellington Daily News from Laura Lombardi
- 3D Printing from Bryce Byers
- baking and decorating from Riley Langford
- Snakes from Casha & Brady Short & Allison Rusk
- Handyman skills from our own Mr. Chuck
- Temporary tattoos from Nelson P. Nelson
- cookie decorating from Sharron Mason
- golf from Ben Heasty
- 4 Wheeler safety from our own Mr. Byers
- DJ Bobby Gilbreth
- Drones from Drake Davidson
- Electricity from our city electric company
- Sprint car racing from Kade Hagans
- Fire/EMS/Police from our local departments
We are so appreciative of everyone who came to present for our students and help us reinstate an old Lincoln experience that are some of our staff’s core memories from attending Lincoln as a kid, or from teaching during the years it took place before!
It was a magical afternoon of seeing smiles plastered on the faces of all our students and staff!
Lincoln ROCKS!❤️
