As we closed out a week of celebrating our amazing dispatchers and all they do for the citizens and responders in Sumner County, who is ready to apply?!?!

Be a part of the team answering the call, calming callers and staying on the line with them during what is likely one of their worst days. Having the opportunity to dispatch the help they need quickly and efficiently, staying in contact with the responders and notifying any additional support units they may need.

Starting pay is $16.35/hr during training. Once training is successfully complete, pay increases to $17.97/hr. Benefits include free health insurance for the employee (individual plan) and extremely reasonable family health insurance available! High school diploma or GED required and very limited criminal history accepted.

National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week is coming right up! (April 12-18) After much interest from communities/individuals, we have decided to do the adopted dispatcher program, provided everybody is adopted by Friday the 10th.

With that being said, if you, a group of friends, your church or your business would like to adopt a dispatcher, here is the general idea: at some point during National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week we encourage you to show gratitude to your dispatcher through gifts or gestures (handwritten notes, snacks, gift cards etc.).

You will be provided with a list of their likes, favorite colors, snacks etc. in order to make things easy and fun for you!

If you would like to adopt, please send us a message on FB including name and or organization and how many dispatchers you would like to adopt.
