Today, our officers participated in the Buckle Up for Burgers event at the Wellington McDonald’s alongside community partners working to promote seat belt safety throughout Lorain County.

Last year, there were 730 crashes involving unbelted occupants in Lorain County. Wearing your seat belt is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect yourself from serious injury or death in a crash.

Thank you to Lorain County Public Health, the Lorain County Safe Communities Coalition, McDonald’s, and all participating local law enforcement agencies for helping make this event possible and for continuing to spread this important message in our community.

Yesterday, our officers were busy out in the community!

We had a great time making Child ID cards at the Westwood Elementary Parent Co-Op 5K Color Run and meeting so many wonderful families along the way.

Our officers were also able to lend a helping hand during Main Street Wellington, Inc.’s Downtown Cleanup as their volunteers worked to keep our community looking its best! Thank you for putting that on!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the day such a success. We hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable weekend!
