🚑 Levy Facts – May 5th Primary (Issue 9) 🚑
Did you know?
• This levy is not in addition to the current levy. The current 3.25 is Expiring. New State ballot language forces us to use the terminology “Additional Levy”
• This levy is a 2.75 mill replacement for the expiring 3.25 mill levy — meaning it is a reduction in millage.
• The cost is about $96 per year for every $100,000 of property valuation.
• This levy provides 2/3 of all EMS funding for our district.
• Funding supports 911 emergency medical services, staffing, ambulances, equipment, and facility maintenance.
• It also allows us to offer community programs like CPR training and medication/sharps disposal and community public relations.
• The South Lorain County Ambulance District serves over 11,000 residents across 125 square miles, responding to approximately 1,700 calls per year with 24/7 Paramedic coverage.
