At 10:17 this morning the Wellman Volunteer Fire Department, Wellman Ambulance, Washington County Ambulance, West Chester QRS and Washington County Sheriff office responded to a two vehicle accident at 190th and Ginkgo. Three patients were transported to hospitals.

Once again, we would like to thank the North Keokuk County Fire Department, North English Fire Department, North English QRS, Wellman QRS, Kalona Volunteer Fire Department, Riverside Volunteer Fire Department, Washington Fire Department, and Washington County Dispatch for their assistance with fires yesterday.

We had 4 fire calls yesterday regarding out-of-control burning. While it is expected to rain soon, we ask that everyone refrain from burning until we receive a good rainfall and reduced winds.

We want to thank the North Keokuk County Fire Department, Kalona Volunteer Fire Department, Riverside Volunteer Fire Department, Washington County Dispatch, Washington County Sheriff's Office, and Washington County EMS for their assistance in fighting the wildland fire north of Wellman today.

We would also like to thank Janet Stutzman and Art Peck for their generous food, dessert and drink donations.

Also, thank you to Dale Stutuzman for the assistance with his tractor and disk.
