One of my favorite parts of community development is seeing collaboration bring great ideas to life.

This mural began with a conversation from a local business owner. From there, I had the opportunity to connect artists, community partners, and funding resources to help move the project forward.

It's exciting to see what can happen when people come together around a shared vision. Grateful to have played a small part in connecting the pieces and seeing this project become a reality!

What a wonderful video reminding us that rural communities matter. Thank you to SMIF for showcasing the impact of investing in small towns and the people who call them home. When we invest locally, we all grow together.

Registration is now open for the 2026 Uniquely Abled Academy (UAA) at South Central College.

This year's program is designed alongside our industry partner, Taylor Corporation, and our service provider, DEED-Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS), to provide individuals with autism (and other unique abilities) the hands-on training and technical skills needed to prepare for a career as a Digital Print Equipment Operator.

Participants will gain hands-on experience using industry-standard digital print technology along with workplace readiness training that supports long-term employment success. Upon completing the formal training, participants will take part in a three‑week job tryout at Taylor Corporation, designed to support a smooth transition into employment.
