Meghan shared that her favorite highlight from Leadership Tioga County classes was "getting to visit different businesses within the County (Tyoga Container, YMCA, Patterson’s, Home Comfort, Broad Acres) that many of us would never have had access to otherwise. We are surrounded by incredible people and ideas in Tioga County."

She also adds that "I loved the idea that Amy Coots shared with us about deciding if you are here to admire the problem or fix the problem. I have used that quote with my team several times over the last few months and within my own mindset as well. There is no point complaining about the issue if you aren’t here to find a solution to fix it."

I was personally challenged to step outside my comfort zone in so many ways. I was truly impressed by the wide range of opportunities available to students. I had no idea there were so many different classes for them to explore. I especially appreciated how the school encourages students to look beyond the traditional “college box” and consider pursuing careers in the trades."
