This has been a very challenging few days. All of the responders around the state are exhausted and we have a few more days of extreme fire danger coming up. We want to thank everyone who came with task forces from Hughes, Atoka and McIntosh counties and all of the departments within Lincoln County who responded to our call for help. We appreciate you all so much. We would also like to thank all of the generous members of our community and surrounding areas that brought donations of water, Gatorade and tons of snacks and to Nancys Pizza and DMarios Pizza in Perkins for their donations of dinners friday ans saturday night. Without the support of you all, we wouldn’t have been able to do it. Unfortunately we lost over 5500 acres in our area alone and over 20 structures. All of the families recovering from these losses are in our thoughts and prayers. Please also keep all of the responders in your prayers. This has been mentally and physically exhausting for us all.

Edited to add:
I can’t believe I forgot to give a huge shoutout to the Lincoln County Emergency Management team. You all are amazing and keep everything running as smooth as possible. We definitely can’t do what we do without you all.

Great turn out for the chiefs meeting last night. So glad to be back in the rotation thanks to the hard work of our chief, Edward Culie. He has helped to rebuild the department into one that can be counted on for support to our community and surrounding departments. His efforts do not go unnoticed. Keep up the hard work chief!!

We as a department we got called out in less then favorable conditions and we had a great turn out. All departments in North West Lincoln county showed up and did work. I am very proud to say I belong to this crew. These two lady's and one more that I didn't get a picture of are the baddest women in the volunteer fire service in my opinion. Just proves you don't have to be a guy to do this job.
