Have you discovered Ohme Gardens’ watering tree?

Known as “Stump Water,” this unique feature dates back to the early 1940s, when a tree stump was tapped and began producing cold, clear water, a tradition that continues today.

It’s a small piece of the garden’s history and a reminder of its early days, when the Ohme family watered the landscape by hand, hauling milk cans of water up from their orchard before eventually creating a full irrigation system.

Keep an eye out for Stump Water on your next walk through the gardens.

There’s something special about this time of year at Ohme Gardens, when summer begins to slow down but there is still so much beauty left to enjoy.

Come wander a little longer. Summer isn’t over yet.
