The CDRPA is currently seeking proposals for two projects supporting the Regional Port’s facilities and operations.

The Regional Port is seeking a consultant to evaluate existing technology systems within the Confluence Technology Center Meeting Center and provide recommendations for modernization. The project will also assess current and future demand for conference, meeting, and hybrid event space to help guide future investment and identify opportunities to increase utilization and revenue.

Additionally, the Regional Port is seeking proposals for a telecommunications system serving administrative operations, airport operations, and public-facing services across multiple locations. The system will need to support a hybrid workforce, multi-site operations, and critical 24/7 airport functions while providing centralized administrative and meeting public records requirements.

A new resource is now available to help local business owners navigate one of the more complex parts of starting or expanding a business: finding and preparing a commercial location.

The Business Development Toolkit was developed through the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Business Development Advisory Committee, bringing together local businesses, government agencies and community partners to provide practical information for navigating the process from feasibility through final occupancy.

Whether you’re starting a business, purchasing an existing business, expanding, or considering the move from leasing to owning, the toolkit is designed to help you better understand the process, know what questions to ask and make more informed decisions along the way.

The Regional Port was pleased to be represented on the Business Development Advisory Committee by Economic Development Specialist, Brooke Lammert, and to be apart of this collaborative effort to support businesses throughout the region.

Yesterday’s Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority Board meeting focused on investments in Regional Port properties, tenant spaces and airport facilities that support the Regional Port’s operations and continued service to the community.

• Authorized the award of tenant improvement projects to prepare additional Port facilities for Lineage and Yonder Cider, including restroom improvements to the G&I Buildings and an electrical extension project at Building E. These investments support the productive reuse of Port-owned facilities and future business operations.

• Authorized the CEO to execute a lease renewal and extension with Sinclair Industrial for Building 9, continuing a longstanding tenancy and supporting the stability of an established local business.

• Authorized the award of a contract and established the overall project budget for bird nest removal and roof repairs at Pangborn Memorial Airport’s 3790 Building, helping protect and maintain an important airport facility.

• Authorized staff to solicit bids for ongoing hangar door maintenance at Pangborn Memorial Airport, supporting the safe and reliable operation of airport facilities and the businesses and aircraft that rely on them.

These actions support continued investment in Regional Port facilities, business retention and the infrastructure needed to serve tenants and airport users throughout our region.
