Today’s Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority Board meeting focused on strategic investments that strengthen infrastructure, support business growth, and position our region for future economic opportunities.
• Awarded the contract for the Wallace Road Transmission Water Mains and Reservoirs Project, a significant infrastructure investment that expands water capacity and supports industrial development, business recruitment, and job creation in the Malaga area.
• Approved Resolution 2026-07, committing matching funds for a Sustainable Aviation grant application. This investment helps position Pangborn Memorial Airport to pursue future infrastructure improvements to support electric airplanes and strengthens the region’s long-term aviation and economic competitiveness.
• Authorized several next steps related to the proposed Yonder Cider lease, including final lease review, refrigeration equipment removal, and design and permitting work necessary to prepare the facility for occupancy. This project supports the reuse of Port assets while creating opportunities for private investment, business expansion, and future employment growth.
• Approved the 2025 financial statements for the Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority, Port of Chelan County, and Port of Douglas County, demonstrating our continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of public resources.
These actions reflect the Regional Port’s strategic focus on infrastructure readiness, business development, transportation assets, and fiscal responsibility. Together, these investments help create the conditions for long-term economic vitality and opportunity throughout North Central Washington.
