The Washington State Apple Blossom Festival is excited to announce who will serve as Chaperones for the Festival’s Royalty and Junior Royalty for the 2027 and 2028 Festivals!
 
These special roles are an important part of the Royalty program. Chaperones provide guidance, encouragement and support to our Candidates and Royalty members as they represent the Washington State Apple Blossom Festival throughout the year.
 
Amy Dilley will serve as a Royalty Chaperone under the direction of Debbie Wirth. Amy brings a wealth of knowledge, both from her career in education and from her own Apple Blossom experience as a Princess in 1989. She recently retired after 33 years with the Wenatchee School District, where she began her career as a teacher and later served as an assistant principal.
 
Susan Mullen will serve as a Junior Royalty Chaperone under the direction of Susan Cox. Susan Mullen is a Record Analyst & Trainer for the Washington State Patrol and has been an active member of the Apple Blossom Festival Board. She also serves as the Chair for Chief for a Day, one of the Festival’s longtime community programs.
 
The Apple Blossom Festival is thrilled to welcome Amy and Susan to these important roles!

This is our Apple Blossom Crew last night gearing up for the Penticton Peach Festival. The parade was scheduled for 10am today but due to a fire in Summerland the town had to evacuate so the parade was canceled. Our thoughts and prayers are with our friends in British Columbia ❤️

The Washington State Apple Blossom Festival is pleased to announce that Mary Ann Castro has been selected to serve as Director General of the 108th Washington State Apple Blossom Festival, scheduled for April 22 through May 2, 2027.

Castro, the Bookkeeper for St. Joseph Catholic School and longtime member of the Wenatchee Applarians, will lead the Festival’s planning and coordination efforts. She will work closely with the Festival Board of Directors and Volunteers to continue the traditions and success of one of Washington’s most beloved community celebrations.

Joining Castro on the Festival leadership team are Greg Wood, Assistant Director General; Steve Evitt, Program Director and Pageant Director, Wenatchee Central Lions Club; and Tim Meyer, Chancellor of the Wenatchee Applarians, the Festival’s official hosting organization.

The official theme for the 108th Washington State Apple Blossom Festival is “Having the Time of Our Lives.”

🎨 Calling All Local Artists!

The Washington State Apple Blossom Festival is now accepting submissions for our 2027 Official Art Print!

Since 1992, the annual Art Print has been a cherished tradition highlighting local talent and capturing the spirit of the Festival through original artwork. This is an invitation to be part of a long-standing Festival tradition and share your work with the Wenatchee Valley community!

Submission Guidelines:
🍎 Artwork must be 16”x20” (portrait or landscape)
🍎 Mediums accepted: oil, acrylic, watercolor, or pastel on canvas
🍎 No frames, please
🍎 Must reside in Chelan or Douglas County
🍎 Previous winners must wait two years before reapplying
🍎 Do not sign the original artwork

🎉 Winner Receives:
Recognition as the 2027 Official Art Print Artist
Invitation to ride in the Stemilt Grand Parade
Opportunity to sign all official art prints
Festival will have first option to purchase the original artwork

📅 Deadline: June 30, 2026
📍 Submit artwork to: Apple Blossom Festival Office (2 South Chelan Avenue, Wenatchee). Call first to schedule drop off day!
