Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for this month's What's For Lunch? program focused on the rapidly evolving world of Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Sue Kane of the NCW Tech Alliance with support from Microsoft, provided an engaging and informative presentation that explored the history and technological advancements that have led us to today's generative AI platforms. Attendees gained a better understanding of how AI has evolved and why it is becoming an increasingly valuable tool in the workplace.

One of the key takeaways from the session was the importance of purposeful and thoughtful prompting. Whether you're looking to generate creative content, streamline daily tasks, improve productivity, or enhance decision making, the quality of your prompts directly influences the quality of the results. Learning how to effectively communicate with AI tools can help businesses and professionals unlock new efficiencies and opportunities.

As AI continues to transform industries, programs like these help our business community stay informed, adaptable, and prepared for the future.

A special thank you to the Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority for sponsoring our What's For Lunch? program and helping bring valuable educational opportunities like this to our business community. We appreciate your continued investment in workforce development, innovation, and economic growth throughout the region.

Our Leadership Wenatchee Valley cohort recently spent a day exploring one of the region's fastest-growing industries: data centers and technology infrastructure. Thanks to our hosts and partners from Microsoft and Sabey Data Centers, participants gained a behind the scenes look at the facilities, systems, and people that keep global technology running.

The day included presentations on how data centers operate, the critical role they play in supporting cloud computing and artificial intelligence, and the unique advantages that make North Central Washington an attractive location for technology investment. Participants also toured facilities and construction sites, witnessing firsthand the scale, complexity, and innovation involved in building and maintaining these operations.

Our Community Leadership program is about understanding the many industries and organizations that shape our region, and this session provided valuable insight into a sector that continues to influence our economy and future growth.

A special thank you to Microsoft, Sabey Data Centers, and their partners for opening their doors, sharing their expertise, and helping our class better understand the opportunities and challenges within this important industry.

This week's 1 Million Cups featured two inspiring women-owned businesses that shared the passion, perseverance, and creativity behind their entrepreneurial journeys.

Moon Bean Cafe and Heirloom Baking Company each took us behind the scenes of how their ideas evolved into thriving businesses. From the early stages of dreaming and planning to overcoming challenges and finding their place in the community, both presenters shared honest insights into what it takes to turn a vision into reality.

One of the most powerful themes of the morning was the positivity and determination these entrepreneurs bring to their work. Their stories served as a reminder that successful businesses are built not only on great products and services, but also on resilience, community support, and a willingness to keep learning along the way.

Thank you to both businesses for sharing your experiences and allowing our community to be part of your journey. We also appreciate everyone who attended, asked thoughtful questions, and contributed ideas and encouragement. That's what makes 1 Million Cups such a valuable space for entrepreneurs to connect, learn, and grow.

We look forward to seeing you at our next 1 Million Cups!
