🎡🌟 Chelan County Fair Work Days Are Here! 🌟🎡

The Chelan County Fair is just around the corner, and it takes a lot of helping hands to get everything ready! 💪❤️

Our 4-H members, families, leaders, and volunteers are coming together for Fair Work Days to prepare exhibits, set up spaces, organize projects, and get the fairgrounds ready for a great week.

It’s more than just getting ready for the fair—it’s a chance to work together, build friendships, learn new skills, and take pride in everything our 4-H community has accomplished. 🐴🐑🐇🌱🎨

A BIG thank-you to everyone who is pitching in and helping make the Chelan County Fair possible! We couldn’t do it without our amazing 4-H community and volunteers. 🙌

🐰 4-H Rabbit Looking for a New Home! 🐰

We have a friendly domestic black-and-white male rabbit looking for a new home with a 4-H participant. He is litter-box trained and has a sweet, easygoing personality. He gets along well with cats and apparently enjoys sharing a little chicken food too! 🐱🐔

We also have 1–2 ducks looking for new homes. 🐔

If you are interested in giving one of these animals a good home, please send us a message or call our office at 509-667-6540 and ask for Sarah for more information.

🌟 NCW Fair Work Day – Volunteers Needed! 🌟

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. and come help get the fairgrounds ready for this year's NCW Fair!

Many hands make light work, and your help is greatly appreciated as we prepare for a successful fair season. Whether you're a 4-H member, parent, volunteer, or community supporter, we welcome your assistance.

💪 Wear comfortable clothing and be ready to lend a hand.

Don't wait until the last minute—plan ahead and make sure your birds are ready for the fair!

All-Day Testing Event
📅 Saturday, August 22
⏰ Check-in: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
📍 Chelan County Fairgrounds, Pavilion Building
5700 Wescott Drive, Cashmere, WA 98815
Directions: Use the livestock gates north of the Pavilion.

*Please attend this event only if you cannot make the August 22 testing day due to limited availability.
📅 August 11
⏰ Check-in: 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
📍 Eastmont FFA Classroom
905 8th St NE, East Wenatchee, WA 98802
Directions: Enter the parking lot across from the 4-Plex softball fields. Head up the ramp and follow the posted signs.

Testing Information
✅ Waterfowl, doves, and pigeons do not need testing.
✅ All other poultry must be tested.
✅ Turkeys require a blood draw. Results should be available within a few days and in time for the NCW Fair, even for birds tested on August 22.
✅ The owner does not need to be present. Please provide the following information for each exhibitor:
•Name
•Mailing address
•Phone number
•Email address

✅ Test results are valid for both the Chelan County Fair and NCW Fair.

Suggested donation: $1 per animal to help cover testing costs.

These testing events are made possible by generous volunteers. Please be respectful of their time and efforts.

🧵✨ Community, creativity, and new skills! ✨🧵

Members of the Chelan/Manson Fashion Squad 4-H Club recently spent time with youth at the Chelan Boys & Girls Club, teaching them how to sew their very own Secret Pocket Pillows!

The kids learned basic sewing skills while creating a fun pillow with a hidden pocket—perfect for storing small treasures, notes, or keepsakes. It was wonderful to see our 4-H members sharing their knowledge, building confidence, and inspiring the next generation of makers.

A big thank you to our Chelan/Manson Fashion Squad 4-H members for volunteering their time and talents, and to the Chelan Boys & Girls Club for welcoming us. Together, we're helping youth learn valuable life skills, one stitch at a time! 💚🍀

Chelan County Fair online exhibitor registration is now open! 4-H members should have all animal exhibits registered by August 10. Still-life exhibits can be registered online or as walk-up on entry day, September 9.
