WHS College & Career Mentor Program

Our annual Ice Cream Social was held last night. Mentors and mentees had an opportunity to meet one another and enjoy Ice cream.

As the coordinator that oversees this program, it is a true honor to watch and be apart of the relationships made throughout each school year between mentors and mentees.

We are stoked to start another year, and get first generation college students off to post secondary education!

We are currently seeking volunteer mentors for the Class of 2024. If you or know of someone who has a passion for mentorship and providing guidance for first generation college students, the WHS CCMP would love to have you! These students are absolutely wonderful & so deserving.

The commitment:
- Mid September 2023 - Mid May 2024

Expectations:
- Creating a safe, supportive relationship between you and your student.
- Assist your mentee in completing financial aid, college applications, scholarship applications, writing powerful personal statements.
- Attending Tuesday Night Mentor Nights at WHS from 6:00-8:00 PM.
- Commit to three mandatory events (Meet-N-Greet, Mid Year Check-Ins, and End Of The Year Celebration

Our annual Mid Year Pancake Feed was a success!

Within the WHS College Mentor Program 95% of students have completed and submitted their FAFSA/WASFA, and many of them have already been accepted into colleges!
These students and Mentors are absolutely wonderful.

Today the Wenatchee High School Career Center hosted a CWU admissions workshop.
A handful of students were accepted on the spot during this event!
