The following link will provide information with further information on what we discussed last night (March 23rd) regarding data centers.

Please know that there is NOT a data center planned or requested in Wendell and the Town Board is not considering one or voting on one. What we did last night was actually quite the opposite.

There seems to be some misinformation floating around, so please make sure you stay informed with accurate information!

I always enjoy reading at the local schools!
Last week at Carver Elementary to 2nd-5th graders at their Transformation Academy, and yesterday to 3rd Graders at Wendell Elementary as part of the Read Across America Program!!
Thank you to Mrs. Crouse, Mrs. Phillips, and Ms. Kane for the opportunity!!
Great kids with great questions - and I’m hopeful that some of them made it to the polls today to snag that “I voted” sticker 🙂 🇺🇸

(Mike Mulligan was a favorite of mine as a child, and it’s cool to read now to kids since Mike and Mary Anne dig a site for the new Town Hall - which we just did recently here in Wendell!)

An update from this morning (Jan 26):

The main roads are in good condition and are drivable. As expected, most of the side streets are icy and slick. NCDOT has been in town and have been treating our two main roads. No power outages have been reported. No vehicle accidents were reported overnight.

Just a reminder that the coldest temperatures and re-freeze (black ice) are still ahead of us after some thawing today… so please please please remain off the streets if you are able and encourage others to do the same!

Check on your friends and neighbors and make sure they are good.
Stay Safe Wendell!
